As a Government Relations Consultant and Policy Analyst, Josh works on diverse issues including renewable energy, insurance, health information management, and compliance. Josh staffed the Government Relations team for the 2017 Legislative Session where he coordinated with each Consultant and their respective client on matters of legislative strategy, opposition research, and logistics management. Josh developed a firm understanding of Alexander & Cleaver’s commitment to its clients.
Prior to joining Alexander & Cleaver, Josh was the Montgomery County Senate Delegation Administrator under Senate Chair Nancy J. King (D – Montgomery). His work helped the Senate and House Delegation pass Montgomery County’s local legislation. Josh also served as an aide for Delegate Mark N. Fisher (R- Calvert), where he handled communications and constituent services.
Josh has been a valuable addition to Alexander & Cleaver’s client representation for legislative, regulatory, and state and local procurement matters. His proficiency in legislative research allows for effective strategy forming and execution on state and local matters. Josh continues to build relationships with policymakers in the local jurisdictions of Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and Baltimore City, as well as the Maryland General Assembly.
Josh is a graduate of University of Maryland College Park where he majored in History and was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He is originally from Calvert County and enjoys woodworking and the great outdoors.
