Aubrey Mirkin joined the firm in 2016 and is licensed to practice law in DC, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.
Aubrey works closely with clients on matters related to business and corporate law; including contracts, leases, agreements, asset liability protection, and more. Aubrey's clients are leaders in the medical, IT, government contracting, insurance brokerage, consulting, and real estate industries. Aubrey assists clients in the formation of LLCs and corporations, development of operating agreements or by-laws, creation and implementation of succession plans, asset and liability protection, employment agreements, consulting agreements, stockholder agreements, asset-purchase agreements, and non-compete/non-solicitation agreements. Aubrey assists clients with the certification process for women-owned businesses and minority-owned businesses. Aubrey prepares and reviews commercial and residential leases for landlords and tenants. Aubrey is passionate about helping business owners succeed.
Aubrey also has an estate planning practice which centers upon assisting clients with the implementation of an estate plan that fits their individual needs. Aubrey drafts Wills, Powers of Attorneys, Medical Directives, HIPAA Release forms, and Trusts. Aubrey also assists clients through the probate administration process when a family member passes away. Her goal is to make the process manageable for her clients so they can focus on healing after the loss of a loved one.
Prior to joining A&C, Aubrey worked for Altman & Associates, a boutique estate planning firm in Rockville, Maryland. During law school at the University of Baltimore, Aubrey clerked for Ralph W. Powers, Jr., in Upper Marlboro, and interned at the Baltimore County Circuit Court for The Honorable Robert E. Cahill, Jr.
Aubrey enjoys spending time on the water with her rescue dog, Lily. She also enjoys reading, traveling, and running.
