Shara Hendler joined the firm in November 2008. Shara handles all type of domestic and
family law matters, minor criminal and traffic matters, and is a trained mediator. She is approved
to be a child’s attorney, to mediate child access issues, and to conduct settlement conferences in a
variety of areas of law.

Prior to joining the Alexander & Cleaver team Shara worked as an Assistant State’s Attorney
in Charles County, Maryland for six years. She handled all types of cases ranging from simple
assault, drug possession, shoplifting and DUI to serious felonies including child abuse, burglary,
and drug offenses. She then entered private practice where she concentrated on domestic cases
such as divorce, custody and adoption.
