Murray Levy joined Alexander & Cleaver in November 2011 after serving in the
Maryland House of Delegates for six years (2004-20 10). At Alexander & Cleaver, he
will assist our clients with business development and strategic planning, especially on
county and state fiscal and budget related issues.
In the House of Delegates, he served on the Appropriations Committee which handles
budgetary matters. He served as Vice Chair of the Transportation & the Environment
Subcommittee, in addition to serving on the Capital Budget Subcommittee, the Oversight
Committee on Pensions, and the Public Safety & Administration Subcommittee.
Prior to his service in the Maryland House of Delegates, Murray was President of the
County Commissioners of Charles County for ten years. He was a member of County
Commissioners from 1986 to 2004. He also was a member of the Tn-County Council of
Southern Maryland for twenty-five years, working to grow and promote issues of
importance to Southern Maryland. He is a past president of the Charles County Chamber
of Commerce.
