James K. McGee became an attorney with Alexander & Cleaver in June 2005, after serving as a law clerk with the firm for the previous two years. Jim's practice concentrates on the Maryland Public Service Commission on behalf of numerous State regulatory clients. His practice includes representation of clients before other State agencies including the Maryland Department of the Environment, Maryland Department of Natural Resources and many others.
Jim was engaged to represent clients in most major PSC proceedings in a wide range of matters for our clients on energy, telecommunication, electricity, gas, wholesale, retail, compliance and regulatory issues. He is the "eyes and ears" for clients, including those who are owners of power plants or plan to build or acquire fossil-fueled or renewable generation facilities in the State. Jim assists clients in obtaining proper licensing/certification, tariff revisions and asset transfers. He successfully argued on behalf of electricity suppliers in complaints against public service companies involving complex calculations of energy transactions that resulted in significant credits for our clients.
Jim also represents and advises clients with landlord/tenant, domestic and other transactional or civil litigation issues. He represents the firm at events for the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber of Commerce.
Jim is married with three children and lives in Edgewater, Maryland.
