Gary Alexander has practiced law since 1967. The firm expanded to include a government relations practice in 1995 and has since grown to be the top lobby firm in Annapolis. These services include procurement, event planning, ethics compliance, Federal, State, and local executive and legislative branch lobbying and many other government relations services.

Gary continues to practice regulatory and administrative law. His 12 years as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates including Speaker Pro Tem (the second highest position in the House); Vice Chair of the House Economic Matters Committee; and Chair of the Joint Committee on Energy Pricing, serves his clients well as he continues to maintain relationships with members of the House and Senate, in addition to Executive Branch and Departmental staff. His extensive knowledge of Maryland law is the foundation to his ability to succeed for his clients. In addition to representing government relations’ clients at the State level, Gary often visits Capitol Hill with them to meet with the Maryland Congressional delegation.

He served as the People's Counsel to the Maryland Public Service Commission. He also served on the Federal Energy Administration State Regulatory Advisory Panel; the Southern Maryland Health Services Governing Body; the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of the State of Maryland; and the Character Committee of the Maryland Court of Appeals. He lectures extensively and has participated as a speaker or panel member at many legal, regulatory, and legislative programs and seminars. Gary authored several legal articles and served as co-editor of The Brief, a publication of the American Bar Association.

Gary retired as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates in 1994. During that time, he was a member of the National Conference of State Legislatures. He was elected three times as Chair of the Democratic Central Committee of Prince George's County (1978-1986; 1998-2000). He lives with his wife in Davidsonville, MD.
