Ashlie Bagwell joined the Government Relations team in October of 2007. Prior to joining Alexander and Cleaver, Ashlie was the Director of Government Relations and Public Policy for the Baltimore Jewish Council. In this position, she was responsible for developing and implementing a broad range of initiatives related to local, state and federal public policy, in addition to securing public funds for programs and projects. Prior to that, she was the Political Director for Montgomery County Executive Doug Duncan’ s campaign for Governor. In this position she worked extensively with municipalities around the state, including those in Prince George’ s County. Before that, the Director of Public Policy at Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC, where she worked on a variety of women’ s healthcare-related issues. She also served as the Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Maryland and as Finance Director of the South Carolina Democratic Party. Ashlie brings a wealth of government relations and political experience to Alexander and Cleaver.
