A&C Founding Partners, Gary Alexander and Jim Cleaver, are life-long, diehard Caps fans, and have had season tickets in the same seats since the Capitals Hockey Team started 43 years ago. Gary’s son, Cory, was a very good goalie in high school and college. Jim took up playing hockey in his 40’s and almost learned to skate backwards. The firm has provided legal services over the years to many of the Caps players and their families. All the years of playoff frustration ARE OVER — THIS YEAR THE CAPS WON THE STANLEY CUP!
The A&C Team worked for our clients at the Maryland Municipal League Annual Meeting earlier this month in Ocean City. This is one of the premier networking events and includes hundreds of elected officials and staff fromgovernment across the state. The A&C conference “kick-off” party is always a highlight.
We were thrilled when the City of New Carrollton selected Alexander & Cleaver as its City Attorney. A&C Attorney Jason DeLoach is pictured with New Carrollton Mayor Andrew Hanko, one of Maryland’s longest serving municipal elected officials. Jason also represents the Town of Brentwood, the Town of Fairmont Heights, and the City of Seat Pleasant. A&C is proud to represent cities and towns across the state in a variety of capacities, including government relations services and specialized legal services for Maryland counties.
Despite working up to the midnight session ending gavel, the hosted our biggest crowd ever for our 22nd Client Appreciation Open House on the last day of the Maryland General Assembly. A&C is known for its NETWORKING events held throughout the year from one end of the state to the other! Now each client will receive their “End of Session 2018 Report” that highlights bills, and topics of interest, as all eyes turn to Maryland’s upcoming elections.
