The A&C Team worked for our clients at the Maryland Municipal League Annual Meeting earlier this month in Ocean City. This is one of the premier networking events and includes hundreds of elected officials and staff fromgovernment across the state. The A&C conference "kick-off" party is always a highlight.
Even on a rainy and windy night, approximately 200 still attended, including government and elected officials, clients, and others. The A&C team connected clients with key decision-makers in state, county, and local government, thereby creating opportunities for short and long-term client success. A&C Government Relations Consultants' Moira Moynihan and Davion Percy facilitated client connections with Prince George’s and Montgomery County municipal officials.
On the opening day of MML, during the "Hot Button Legal Issues" seminar moderated by Mayor Benn Cann of the Town of Morningside, A&C Attorney Jason DeLoach presented on the controversial topic of Sanctuary Cities before approximately 70 elected officials. Jason was re-elected as Treasurer of the Maryland Municipal Attorneys Assn and our legal and government relations Team made it a productive time for the firm and our clients.
In additional to private industry clients, the A&C Legal and Government Relations teams have a positive track record of successfully representing municipal governments, including Morningside, Brentwood, Fairmount Heights, Seat Pleasant, New Carrollton, Greenbelt, Takoma Park and Gaithersburg, and Prince George’s County itself in energy issues before the Maryland Public Service Commission. Also, Jason and Davion represent the Prince George’s County Municipal Association as Legal Counsel and Government Relations Consultant, respectively.
